Alex Shenkman is an award-winning film composer and music producer who has been writing music for network television for nearly a decade. 

 

He is known for his work as a composer for NBC’s New Amsterdam, which he scored for 5 seasons. His work on New Amsterdam earned him a BMI Film, TV & Visual Media Award, and earned the show over 40 million streams for its soundtrack release. 

 

Shenkman has also composed the main titles and score for countless shows on FOX including Next Level Chef, Kitchen Nightmares, Domino Masters, Joe Millionaire, and most recently Extracted in 2025. His work will also be featured in the upcoming premiere of Next Level Baker on FOX, Tubi’s Sidelined 2: Intercepted, and Lifetime’s Christmas Everyday.

 

As a music producer, Shenkman’s songs have garnered placements on every major network and streaming platform including ABC, NBC, FOX, Netflix, Starz, HBO Max, FX, Apple TV+, MTV, Disney, Freeform, and more. His work as a producer has earned him several awards including a Hollywood Music in Media Award win and Music+Sound Award nomination in 2024 for his music featured in the trailers for American Horror Story: Delicate Part 1 & 2.

 

His artist project, NOCTURN, launched in February of 2021. Billboard Magazine called his cover of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love", released with artist Holy Wars, an "eerily pounding and defiant arrangement”.
